Working concentration: mg/ml;

Method for preparing DMSO master liquid: mg drug pre-dissolved in μL DMSO ( Master liquid concentration mg/mL, Please contact us first if the concentration exceeds the DMSO solubility of the batch of drug. )

Method for preparing in vivo formulation: Take μL DMSO master liquid, next addμL PEG300, mix and clarify, next addμL Tween 80, mix and clarify, next add μL ddH2O, mix and clarify.

Method for preparing in vivo formulation: Take μL DMSO master liquid, next add μL Corn oil, mix and clarify.

Note: 1. Please make sure the liquid is clear before adding the next solvent.
2. Be sure to add the solvent(s) in order. You must ensure that the solution obtained, in the previous addition, is a clear solution before proceeding to add the next solvent. Physical methods such
as vortex, ultrasound or hot water bath can be used to aid dissolving.

Mechanism of Action

In vitro

Tilmicosin inhibits growth of Pasteurella multocida, Pasteurella haemolytica, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Streptococcus suis, Actinomyces pyogenes and certain other bacteria at levels of 6.25 μg/mL or less. In general, the MICs for Gram-negative enteric bacteria have been greater than 50 μg/mL. [1] This compound causes decreases in cardiac SOD and GPX activities. [3]

In vivo

After a subcutaneous injection, tilmicosin is eliminated more slowly from serum and milk, with t1/2 beta S of 29.3 and 41.4 hours, respectively. The apparent volume of distribution of this compound is more than 1 L/kg. The peak serum concentration is 1.56 μg/mL. 6.39 hours after a subcutaneous injection of 10 mg/kg. It is extensively secreted into milk, reaching a maximum concentration of 11.6 μg/mL and having a large AUCmilk/AUCserum ratio of approximately 12:1. This chemical is detectable in milk for 11 days after a single subcutaneous dose.[2]
