Transmembrane Transporters

Transmembrane Transporter is a special protein which is permanently attached to the membrane a cell or across a biological membrane which they transport substances(at least once). The proteins may assist in the movement of substances by facilitated diffusion or active transport. These mechanisms of action are known as carrier-mediated transport. Transmembrane Transporter includes Glucose transporter, GABA transporters, Dopamine transporter (DAT), and Vesicular acetylcholine transporter), P-glycoprotein, Na+/K+-ATPase and Plasma membrane Ca2+ ATPase.
