Mitochondrial Fusion Promoter M1

Mitochondrial fusion promoter M1 is a mitochondrial dynamic modulator that increases the expression of mitofusin 2, a mitochondrial outer membrane fusion protein, reduces brain mitochondrial dysfunction. Mitochondrial fusion promoter M1 alleviates brain damage in rats with cardiac ischemia/reperfusion injury.

In vitro
In vitro

Mitochondrial Fusion Promoter M1 prevents the cholesterol mediated blunting of cellular respiration and potentiates Glucose stimulated insulin secretion which is abolished in pancreatic beta cells on cholesterol accumulation.[2]

Cell Research Cell lines BRIN-BD11 cells
Concentrations 20 μM
Incubation Time 12 h
Method

BRIN-BD11 cells are first treated with Mitochondrial Fusion Promoter M1 for 12 h and then cholesterol (160 μM) is added to the media for another 12 h before various assays.

In Vivo
In vivo

Pretreatment with Mitochondrial Fusion Promoter M1 effectively increases the expression of mitofusin 2, a mitochondrial outer membrane fusion protein, reduces brain mitochondrial dysfunction, BBB breakdown, macrophage infiltration, apoptosis, and AD-related proteins in rats following cardiac I/R injury.[1]

Method for preparing DMSO master liquid: mg drug pre-dissolved in μL DMSO ( Master liquid concentration mg/mL, Please contact us first if the concentration exceeds the DMSO solubility of the batch of drug. )

Method for preparing in vivo formulation: Take μL DMSO master liquid, next addμL PEG300, mix and clarify, next addμL Tween 80, mix and clarify, next add μL ddH2O, mix and clarify.

Method for preparing in vivo formulation: Take μL DMSO master liquid, next add μL Corn oil, mix and clarify.

Note: 1. Please make sure the liquid is clear before adding the next solvent.
2. Be sure to add the solvent(s) in order. You must ensure that the solution obtained, in the previous addition, is a clear solution before proceeding to add the next solvent. Physical methods such
as vortex, ultrasound or hot water bath can be used to aid dissolving.
