    Background

Epitope tags are widely applied in protein labeling and detection via techniques such as immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunostaining. Due to their small molecular size, they typically have minimal impact on the biochemical characteristics of the target protein. The HA tag, originally derived from a segment of the influenza virus hemagglutinin protein, has become a commonly used tag in various expression systems.
