	Method	Human airway smooth muscle cells are grown to confluence and subsequently serum-deprived for 1 day in ITS-supplemented media. Cells are then treated with increasing concentrations of CSE, in the absence or the presence of methacholine (10 μM). Supernatants are then analysed for the presence of IL-8 and IL-6.
