Mechanism of Action

In vivo
Isosteviol (ISV) improves glucose and insulin sensitivity, lowers plasma triglycerides, lowers weight in diabetic KKAy mice, and markedly changes the gene expression profile of key insulin regulatory genes. ISV has a high bioavailability and a potent insulinotropic effect.
