TPPB is a cell-permeable benzolactam-derived PKC activator with a ki of 11.9 nM for inhibition of phorbol 12,13-dibutyrate binding to PKC-α. It also enhances non-amyloidogenic APP processing and increases sAPPα secretion in fibroblasts and PC12 neuronal cells.
