Icatibant is a decapeptide resistant to the bradykinin-degrading proteases, resulting in a longer half-life than bradykinin which it antagonizes[1].

In vivo Icatibant exhibits efficacy in bradykinin-mediated angioedema attacks, and induces rapid symptom relief[1].
