Darapladib (SB-480848) is a highly selective and competitive Lp-PLA2 (PLA2G7) inhibitor. It affects NF-κB and MAPK signaling pathways by blocking PLA2 enzymatic activity, inhibiting tumor cell proliferation, tumorsphere self-renewal, and bacterial biofilm formation, while promoting macrophage M1 polarization and CD8 T cell activation.
