Verteporfin is a small-molecule inhibitor of the TEAD-YAP interaction and a potent second-generation photosensitizing agent. By disrupting the binding between YAP and TEAD transcription factors, it suppresses Hippo pathway-mediated oncogenic signaling and downstream YAP-induced liver overgrowth. Additionally, light activation of verteporfin generates reactive oxygen species, inhibits autophagy, blocks cell proliferation, and promotes apoptosis in target cells. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
