RGD peptide (Arg-Gly-Asp) is a cell adhesion motif that functions as a synthetic mimic of extracellular matrix adhesion proteins by binding to integrin receptors. Through its direct interaction with cell-surface integrins, RGD peptide modulates focal adhesion complex formation and downstream integrin-mediated signaling pathways. Consequently, it inhibits cell attachment, cell migration, and tumor cell invasion by competitively blocking the binding of integrins to native matrix proteins such as fibronectin and vitronectin. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
