Nifuroxazide is an orally bioavailable nitrofuran derivative and antidiarrheal agent that functions as a potent inhibitor of STAT transcription factors, effectively suppressing IL-6-induced STAT3 activation with an IC50 of 3 μM. By blocking STAT3 tyrosine phosphorylation, it disrupts STAT3-mediated signaling pathways, suppresses downstream oncogenic gene expression, and inhibits cellular proliferation while triggering apoptosis in STAT3-dependent cancer cell models. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
