Biological Activity

CH-223191 is a potent and selective aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) antagonist with an IC50 of. It blocks ligand binding to AhR, preventing receptor nuclear translocation and activation of AhR-driven transcription. By inhibiting AhR signaling, CH-223191 suppresses downstream expression of cytochrome P450 enzymes, such as CYP1A1, thereby mitigating AhR-mediated immune modulation, inflammatory responses, and xenobiotic toxicity in various cell types. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
