Ordering Information

Biological Activity

Carvedilol Phosphate is a non-selective β-adrenergic receptor antagonist and α1-adrenergic receptor blocker. By targeting β1-, β2-, and α1-adrenoceptors, it inhibits sympathetic nervous system signaling, reduces peripheral vascular resistance, and attenuates adrenergic-mediated vasoconstriction. Additionally, carvedilol exerts potent cellular antioxidant effects and suppresses vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation to effectively regulate cardiovascular hemodynamics and vascular tone.

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
