BMS-927711 (Rimegepant) is a potent, selective, and competitive human calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor antagonist. By binding to the CGRP receptor complex, BMS-927711 blocks endogenous ligand interaction and potently inhibits CGRP-mediated intracellular cAMP accumulation. This functional antagonism suppresses downstream neurovascular signaling cascades and attenuates CGRP-induced neurogenic vasodilation, thereby regulating microvascular tone and neuroinflammatory responses.
