SB203580 (Adezmapimod) is a potent p38 MAPK inhibitor that suppresses lipopolysaccharide-induced pro-inflammatory cytokine synthesis in human monocytes and inhibits stress-activated protein kinase signaling. Blockade of the p38 MAPK pathway disrupts downstream phosphorylation of targeted transcription factors and inflammatory mediators, ultimately suppressing cellular cytokine release while promoting autophagy and mitophagy under stress conditions.
