Triamcinolone Acetonide is a synthetic glucocorticoid receptor agonist that acts as a potent anti-inflammatory agent. Upon binding to the glucocorticoid receptor, it modulates gene transcription by suppressing NF-kB pathway activation and inhibiting pro-inflammatory mediator expression. This leads to reduced cellular production of inflammatory cytokines, including TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6, ultimately attenuating inflammatory signaling and downstream cellular swelling. [1]
