Medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA) is a synthetic progestin and potent progesterone receptor agonist. Upon binding to the progesterone receptor, MPA induces conformational changes that drive receptor dimerization, nuclear translocation, and transcriptional regulation of downstream target genes. This activation modulates progesterone receptor signaling pathways, leading to the regulation of cellular differentiation, inhibition of estrogen-driven cell proliferation, and control of gene expression networks in steroid-responsive tissues. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
