Zaltoprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that acts as an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). By blocking COX-mediated catalysis, zaltoprofen suppresses the biosynthesis of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins within inflammatory signaling cascades.
