Biological Activity

WZ811 is a potent, competitive CXCR4 antagonist. By blocking the binding of CXCL12 to the CXCR4 receptor, it effectively disrupts the CXCL12/CXCR4 signaling axis and suppresses downstream AKT and ERK/MAPK pathway activation. Consequently, WZ811 attenuates CXCL12-directed cellular chemotaxis, tumor cell migration, invasion, and survival, leading to reduced proliferation in CXCR4-expressing cancer cells.

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
