Biological Activity

UF010 is a class I-selective histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor that potently targets HDAC1, HDAC2, HDAC3, and HDAC8, with additional activity against HDAC6 and HDAC10. By inhibiting class I HDACs, it promotes hyperacetylation of histones, inducing chromatin remodeling and transcriptional modulation. These downstream effects disrupt cell cycle progression and inhibit cell proliferation, suppressing cancer cell growth. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
