Biological Activity

TMP269 is a potent and selective class IIa histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor targeting HDAC4 (IC50 157 nM), HDAC5 (IC50 97 nM), HDAC7 (IC50 43 nM), and HDAC9 (IC50 23 nM). By inhibiting class IIa HDAC catalytic domain activity, TMP269 modulates histone acetylation, suppresses hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF-1α) transcriptional signaling, and regulates immune cell function and gene expression profiles in cellular models. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
