Tasquinimod (ABR-215050) is an orally active antiangiogenic agent that acts as an allosteric inhibitor of HDAC4 signaling and also targets S100A9. By modulating HDAC4 pathways and disrupting S100A9 interactions, it inhibits tumor angiogenesis, suppresses myeloid-derived suppressor cell infiltration, and alters the tumor microenvironment. These cellular actions suppress tumor growth and vascularization across various cancer models. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
