Sodium ascorbate is an essential antioxidant and cellular reducing agent involved in diverse biochemical pathways. At elevated levels, ascorbate functions as a pro-oxidant that selectively generates hydrogen peroxide and reactive oxygen species in extracellular fluid. This oxidative stress induces GAPDH inhibition and severe energy depletion, ultimately driving selective toxicity in susceptible cancer cells while maintaining normal cellular homeostasis. [1][2]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
