Biological Activity

SNX-2112 is a potent, synthetic heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) inhibitor that binds to the ATP-binding pocket of Hsp90α and Hsp90β. Inhibition of Hsp90 leads to the degradation of oncogenic client proteins such as HER2 and mutant EGFR, accompanied by the suppression of AKT and ERK signaling pathways. Consequently, SNX-2112 induces Rb-dependent G1 cell cycle arrest and triggers apoptosis in cancer cells. [1][2]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
