Seclidemstat (SP-2577) is a potent, orally bioavailable inhibitor of lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1/KDM1A) with an IC50 of. By reversibly inhibiting LSD1 enzymatic activity, it modulates chromatin structure and histone methylation levels, leading to the regulation of gene expression pathways. Consequently, Seclidemstat suppresses oncogenic transcriptional programs, blocks cell proliferation, and promotes differentiation and apoptosis in various cancer cell lines. [1]
