SC79 is a brain-penetrable Akt activator and inhibitor of Akt pleckstrin homology (PH) domain membrane translocation. By binding to the PH domain, SC79 induces a conformational change that promotes Akt phosphorylation and cytosolic activation without requiring plasma membrane localization. Activation of the downstream AKT pathway suppresses apoptotic signaling and exerts significant neuroprotective effects in neuronal cell and ischemic stroke models. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
