SB-3CT is a potent, mechanism-based gelatinase inhibitor that selectively targets matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9). Inhibition of these gelatinases disrupts extracellular matrix degradation and blocks downstream proteolysis of essential structural proteins. Consequently, SB-3CT attenuates toxic signaling pathways, prevents pericellular laminin degradation, and suppresses neuronal apoptosis and neurovascular damage in preclinical cerebral ischemia models. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
