Astragaloside IV is a bioactive triterpene saponin that modulates key cellular pathways, including NF-kB, AKT/mTOR, and ERK1/2 signaling. By inhibiting the phosphorylation of p-Akt, p-mTOR, p-NF-kB, and p-Erk1/2, Astragaloside IV suppresses inflammatory responses, reduces cellular apoptosis, and protects against oxidative stress across diverse biological models. These signaling pathway modulations downregulate pro-inflammatory cytokines and promote cellular survival. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
