Biological Activity
Sabutoclax (BI-97C1) is a pan-Bcl-2 inhibitor targeting Mcl-1 (IC50 0.20 μM), Bcl-xL (IC50 0.31 μM), Bcl-2 (IC50 0.32 μM), and Bfl-1 (IC50 0.62 μM). By inhibiting these anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family proteins, it disrupts mitochondrial outer membrane integrity, activates caspases, and triggers intrinsic apoptosis. Consequently, Sabutoclax suppresses cancer cell growth and overcomes therapy resistance across various preclinical malignancy models. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).

Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer longer shelf life compared to stock solutions.
