S-Adenosyl-L-Homocysteine (SAH) is a potent product inhibitor of S-adenosylmethionine-dependent methyltransferases, including the METTL3-METTL14 heterodimer complex. By competing with S-adenosylmethionine, SAH impairs the enzymatic activity of the METTL3-METTL14 complex, suppressing N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA modification pathways. This inhibition affects downstream mRNA stability, translation efficiency, and epigenetic gene regulation involved in cellular proliferation and differentiation processes. [1][2]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
