Robinin is a natural flavonoid that functions as an inhibitor of the TLR2 and TLR4 signaling pathways. By regulating TLR4/NF-κB signaling, robinin reduces oxidized-LDL-induced expression of TLR2 and TLR4 at the mRNA level and prevents NF-κB p65 nuclear translocation. Furthermore, robinin modulates the TLR2/PI3K/AKT pathway, downregulating pancreatic cancer cell proliferation, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, and inflammatory cytokine production to exert potent anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effects.[1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
