Riociguat is an oral soluble guanylate cyclase stimulator that targets soluble guanylate cyclase both directly and synergistically with endogenous nitric oxide. By stimulating soluble guanylate cyclase, it enhances cyclic guanosine monophosphate synthesis, activating cyclic guanosine monophosphate-dependent protein kinase signalling pathways. This downstream activation promotes vascular smooth muscle relaxation, inhibits cellular proliferation, and reduces tissue fibrosis. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
