Pentoxyverine Citrate (Carbetapentane) is a centrally acting non-opioid antitussive agent that functions as a high-affinity sigma-1 receptor agonist and muscarinic receptor antagonist. It suppresses the central cough reflex by modulating sigma-1 receptor signaling pathways and reduces airway hyperresponsiveness and smooth muscle spasm. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
