Pefloxacin Mesylate Dihydrate is a broad-spectrum third-generation fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent that targets bacterial topoisomerase II (DNA gyrase) and topoisomerase IV. By inhibiting these essential enzymes, it disrupts DNA replication, transcription, and repair processes in bacterial cells. This inhibition leads to accumulation of double-stranded DNA breaks, ultimately causing bacterial cell death and exhibiting potent bactericidal activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens.

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
