Naringenin is a natural dietary flavanone and inhibitor of cytochrome P450 isoforms, particularly CYP1A2. It acts as an antioxidant, free radical scavenger, and anti-inflammatory agent, effectively attenuating oxidative DNA damage in vitro. Downstream, naringenin modulates carbohydrate metabolism, suppresses pro-inflammatory signalling, and alters host pharmacokinetics by regulating hepatic drug-metabolizing enzymes, exhibiting broad cytoprotective and immunomodulatory properties. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
