MS023 hydrochloride is a selective, cell-active inhibitor of human type I protein arginine methyltransferases (PRMTs), targeting PRMT1, PRMT3, PRMT4, PRMT6 (IC4 nM), and PRMT8 (IC5 nM). By suppressing type I PRMT catalytic activity, it decreases cellular asymmetric dimethylarginine levels, impairing RNA splicing, accumulating DNA damage, and halting cancer cell growth. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
