Ordering Information

Biological Activity

ML-180 is a potent inverse agonist of the orphan nuclear receptor liver receptor homolog-1 (LRH-1/NR5A2). By binding to LRH-1, ML-180 downregulates its transcriptional activity and alters downstream signaling cascades involved in cell proliferation and metabolic regulation. Consequently, LRH-1 inhibition suppresses key downstream target genes such as cyclin D1 and cyclin E1, blocking cell cycle progression and attenuating tumor cell growth.

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
