Lornoxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that acts as a potent inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). By suppressing COX-1 and COX-2 enzymatic activity, lornoxicam blocks the conversion of arachidonic acid into pro-inflammatory prostaglandins. This inhibition disrupts downstream prostaglandin signaling pathways, leading to reduced inflammatory mediator production, decreased nociceptive pain responses, and attenuated tissue swelling in inflammatory phenotypes. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
