Licochalcone A is a natural estrogenic flavonoid extracted from licorice root that exhibits antimalarial, anticancer, antibacterial, and antiviral activities. It modulates critical signaling cascades, including the NF-kB and MAPK pathways, leading to the inhibition of cancer cell proliferation, suppression of inflammatory responses, and induction of G2/M cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. Additionally, it suppresses the growth of Plasmodium falciparum in infection models. [1]
