L-Quebrachitol is a natural plant-derived compound that promotes cell proliferation and cell DNA synthesis. It upregulates bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) and runt-related transcription factor-2 (Runx2), as well as key regulatory genes associated with the MAPK and Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathways. Concurrently, L-Quebrachitol downregulates receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand (RANKL) mRNA expression levels to modulate cell differentiation. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
