KPT-185 is a selective CRM1 inhibitor that targets nuclear export signaling. By binding to CRM1, KPT-185 disrupts the nuclear export of tumor suppressor proteins and cell cycle regulators, promoting their nuclear accumulation. This inhibition blocks nuclear-cytoplasmic transport and downregulates oncogenic pathways, resulting in potent growth inhibition and apoptosis across non-Hodgkin lymphoma and leukemic cell lines with a median IC50 of approximately.
