KC7F2 is a selective inhibitor of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) translation. By suppressing HIF-1α protein synthesis without altering its mRNA levels, it blocks hypoxia-induced activation of the HIF-1 signaling pathway. This inhibition leads to the downregulation of critical downstream target genes involved in cellular adaptation to hypoxia, tumor angiogenesis, and metabolic reprogramming, thereby impairing cellular survival and proliferation under hypoxic microenvironments.
