Ordering Information

Biological Activity

JZL195 is a potent dual inhibitor of fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) (IC50 2 nM) and monoacylglycerol lipase (MAGL). By simultaneously blocking FAAH and MAGL, JZL195 prevents the degradation of anandamide and 2-arachidonoylglycerol, leading to elevated endocannabinoid levels in the central nervous system. This dual target inhibition potentiates endocannabinoid signaling, resulting in enhanced antinociceptive effects and modulating neurological responses. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
