JNJ-10198409 is an orally active, ATP-competitive platelet-derived growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting PDGFRβ (IC50 4.2 nM) and PDGFRα (IC50 45 nM). By blocking PDGF-RTK signaling, it suppresses downstream PLCγ1 phosphorylation and disrupts tumor vascularization. Consequently, JNJ-10198409 functions as a dual-action agent with robust antiangiogenic and antiproliferative effects across various cancer cell types.[1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
