ISX-9 (Isoxazole 9) is a synthetic small-molecule enhancer of adult neurogenesis that triggers neuronal differentiation of adult neural stem/precursor cells (NSPCs). It activates calcium influx and NeuroD1-dependent gene expression, promoting cell cycle exit and neuronal lineage commitment. Additionally, ISX-9 modulates TGF-β-induced epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and canonical and non-canonical Wnt signaling pathways during cardiac differentiation. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
