IHMT-PI3Kδ-is a potent and selective phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase δ (PI3Kδ) inhibitor with an IC50 of 14 nM in biochemical assays. It exhibits 56- to 83-fold selectivity over other class I PI3K isoforms. By targeting the PI3Kδ pathway, IHMT-PI3Kδ-selectively suppresses cellular phosphorylation of AKT at Thr308, leading to attenuated inflammatory signalling and improved pulmonary function in preclinical models. Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
