IC261 is a casein kinase 1 (CK1) inhibitor that targets CK1 with an IC50 of. By inhibiting CK1 enzymatic activity, IC261 affects downstream cellular signaling cascades, including the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. Inhibition of CK1 by IC261 disrupts mitotic spindle alignment and centrosome positioning, resulting in cell cycle arrest at prometaphase and subsequent induction of apoptosis in carcinoma cells. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
