GW1929 is a potent and selective PPARγ agonist with high affinity for human PPARγ (p, demonstrating a pfor human PPARγ and 8.27 for murine PPARγ. Activation of PPARγ by GW1929 regulates transcription of genes involved in lipid and glucose metabolism. Downstream, GW1929 enhances insulin sensitivity, lowers plasma lipid levels, and improves cardiovascular risk factors associated with diabetic dyslipidemia. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
