GSK2879552 Dihydrochloride is an orally bioavailable, selective, irreversible inhibitor of lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1/KDM1A). LSD1 functions as a histone demethylase that regulates gene expression by targeting methylated histones within chromatin complexes. Targeted inhibition of LSD1 modulates transcriptional repression pathways, leading to altered histone methylation, reactivation of silenced genes, and suppression of cell proliferation in sensitive cancer models. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
